One thing that you will notice righ toff the bat with the FOCUS IZALCO is that it is extremely responsive, more so than any other bike I have had, when you start turning those cranks it jumps into action. When it comes to climbing I would prefer no other bike, the Bottom Bracket does not swing all over the place, it stays exactly where it should. I have had other bikes in which the bottom bracket moves when torqueing and it will cause unwanted gear shifting. With the FOCUS IZALCO this is not the case, it is strong and sturdy in all the right places!!

The BB30 system complements the hollow chamber technology by using a large-sized quill shaft and oversized industrial bearings. Hence the frames get more lightweight, more stiff and become more efficient. In addition BB30 provides more room for rider’s feet – the so called U-factor.
More lightweight and stiffer than dropouts made of aluminium, FOCUS Carbon Dropouts are highly compressed and strengthened.
