BB30 Bottom Bracket

The BB30 system complements the hollow chamber technology by using a large-sized quill shaft and oversized industrial bearings. Hence the frames get more lightweight, more stiff and become more efficient. In addition BB30 provides more room for rider’s feet – the so called U-factor.

The Bottom Bracket enables optimal large-sized chain stay, seat tube and down tube connections, ensuring a more direct conversion of pedal energy. FOCUS produces all frames including the bottom bracket in one piece. This leads to a crease-free and controlled manufacturing process. After hardening, the core bearing house is glued in place – a well-proven process.
