FOCUS BLACK FOREST 1.0 29er

Featuring Shimano XT and other high end components, the Black Forest 1.0 for 2012 is an excellent inexpensive 29er model that is sure to satisfy.  FOCUS bikes make everyone of the individual models with a high power transfer stiff BB30 bottom bracket that helps in acceleration and climbing of course.  Also you get the 29er style ride which allows a rider to role directly over cracks and other obstacles in the road that a standard 26" bike might get caught up on.  

The aluminium version of the high-speed bikes. 29" wheels for low rolling resistance and perfect control. Magura MT 2 brake and Shimano XT gears do the rest.

One thing that you will notice righ toff the bat with the FOCUS IZALCO is that it is extremely responsive, more so than any other bike I have had, when you start turning those cranks it jumps into action.  When it comes to climbing I would prefer no other bike, the Bottom Bracket does not swing all over the place, it stays exactly where it should.  I have had other bikes in which the bottom bracket moves when torqueing and it will cause unwanted gear shifting.  With the FOCUS IZALCO this is not the case, it is strong and sturdy in all the right places!!

The BB30 system complements the hollow chamber technology by using a large-sized quill shaft and oversized industrial bearings. Hence the frames get more lightweight, more stiff and become more efficient. In addition BB30 provides more room for rider’s feet – the so called U-factor.
