The BB30 system complements the hollow chamber technology by using a large-sized quill shaft and oversized industrial bearings. Hence the frames get more lightweight, more stiff and become more efficient. In addition BB30 provides more room for rider’s feet – the so called U-factor.
FOCUS stands for innovative technology and design, and we pride ourselves on being at the focal point of these qualities. Our bicycles are developed and continually improved up by a precision team of German engineers, scientists, professional cyclists, designers and technicians. The development and testing regimens at FOCUS are among the most rigorous in the industry. We push our prototypes to the breaking point to identify and eliminate even the tiniest flaws before our bikes go to production. FOCUS is not only our name; it is what we doOne thing that you will notice righ toff the bat with the FOCUS IZALCO is that it is extremely responsive, more so than any other bike I have had, when you start turning those cranks it jumps into action. When it comes to climbing I would prefer no other bike, the Bottom Bracket does not swing all over the place, it stays exactly where it should. I have had other bikes in which the bottom bracket moves when torqueing and it will cause unwanted gear shifting. With the FOCUS IZALCO this is not the case, it is strong and sturdy in all the right places!!
The entire production and quality control take place in Cloppenburg, Germany. The historical location stands for quality worldwide
More lightweight and stiffer than dropouts made of aluminium, FOCUS Carbon Dropouts are highly compressed and strengthened.
FOCUS bikes are all made in Germany. That may not sound like a big deal, but it means everything. Germany’s engineering know-how, skilled craftsmanship, stylish design and innovation are world-renowned. Made in Germany is a label that stands for quality. We never cut corners to shave costs. All FOCUS frames and technologies are developed in Germany’s Cloppenburg region, and we have nearly 500 employees nationwide. FOCUS is proud of its German roots. Our customers can be, too.
The frame is the heart of each FOCUS bike, the backbone of a superior ride. The components are the arms and legs, the hands and head that complete the product. With that in mind, our product managers source only the best components and parts the market has to offer and integrate them with our renowned frames. FOCUS bikes are then fine-tuned to meet the demands of individual cyclists.
