The Geax Gato is a durable, high performance cross country tire that weighs as low as 660 grams and is made with Geax's high quality casings for lasting durability and the best performance possible.

The Gato was designed for maximum grip and control in wet and loose conditions. An aggressive tread with tall, widely spaced, siped knobs ensures excellent shedding characteristics and increased traction when the elements make the trail challenging. Reinforcements at the base of the central ridge reduce rolling resistance while similar reinforcements on the side knobs ensures knob stiffness and penetration when cornering. Since prototype phases, the Gato has made a name for itself with world cup stage wins, consumer satisfaction, and glowing press reviews.

DOUBLE COMPOUND (50-60-50 ShA)

Sticky Soft compound on side knobs and ARAMID RACING 3D on the central ones. That’s the best compromise you can get from both the compounds: cornering grip and braking performances keeping low the rolling resistance. Soft side knobs guarantee a strong bite in turns and excellent grip in all situations whilst the central (harder) compounds with aramidic particels makes for lower rolling resistance reducing wear and tear to acceptable levels. It’s the ideal solution for racing tires.

ARMID RACING 3D COMPOUND (60 SHORE A)

XC Racing compond for a performing yet fast tire. Starting with the Aramid 3D compound we developed a softer and lighter to shave some weight on the tread keeping grip and durability to excellent levels.

ARAMID 3D COMPOUND (65 SHORE A)

Used for High performance tires, allround compound to get the best in different conditions and applications. Good grip and more durable thanks to the tridimensionally dispersed (3D) aramidic particels, it allows for superior cut and flat prevention.
